Acorns are used both for livestock and human consumption.

Originating from the Mediterranean region, the holm oak is the most characteristic tree of Spain. It stands 8 to 12 meters tall and has a wide, dense and rounded crown. Its evergreen leaves have a rough, dark-colored upper side, while the underside is white with hairs. Its leaves are not thorny, but have a serrated edge.

Its fruit, the acorn, is edible for both livestock and human consumption.
