Originating from the Canary Islands, the drago is a plant that rises up to 12 meters in height and whose stem appears branched at the end. Its leaves can reach up to 1 meter long and are bluish-green in color. It has greenish-yellow flowers and fruits in orange berries.

The "sangre de drago", obtained through incisions of its bark, has medicinal properties and was highly valued in the past.
